Suwon brunch café bacon egg mayo vs Laugen butter bagel: Orange Bagel

In short

Orange Bagel is a three-story bagel brunch café on Omokcheon-ro in Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, Gyeonggi. This visit paired the usual bacon egg mayo bagel at 8,500 won with a first-time Laugen butter bagel at 6,900 won, and the Laugen butter — salty on the outside, exceptionally soft inside — took the top spot straight away. With a wide bagel lineup, a large parking lot and a third-floor terrace, Orange Bagel is an easy stop on a drive.

Exterior view of Orange Bagel café in Suwon

Orange Bagel is a large Suwon café known for its bagels. It's my personal favorite Suwon brunch spot — chewy, delicious bagels in all kinds of flavors, plus coffee and distinctive drinks 🥯

I was craving my go-to bacon egg mayo bagel so I stopped by after a while, and ended up unexpectedly discovering an incredible Laugen butter bagel.

Crispy outside, tender inside, sweet and salty at once — totally amazing.

There's also a big parking lot out front, so I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a drive-worthy spot in Gyeonggi or a pretty café on the outskirts of Seoul 👍🏻 It's also an easy walk from Gosaek Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. There's even a terrace on the 3rd floor, making this large Suwon café perfect for weather like this these days 🥰

Bacon egg mayo or Laugen butter bagel: which one won?

I ordered my usual bacon egg mayo along with the Laugen butter bagel I was trying for the first time ‼️ But my long-time favorite bacon egg mayo just got dethroned — as of today, it's Laugen butter bagel. So good.

Bacon egg mayo bagel with egg mayo spread and bacon

The bacon egg mayo bagel is loaded with a nutty, smooth egg mayo spread paired with salty bacon. Good chew, well-balanced ingredients, and hearty enough to make a satisfying brunch ‼️ The portion is surprisingly generous too.

Laugen butter bagel topped with salt

And then there's the Laugen butter bagel, my new favorite 🥯 At first, with the salt on top, I thought it might taste like a salt bread. But the outside was salty and crisp, while the inside was seriously, extremely soft!

Cross-section of the Laugen butter bagel showing the butter filling

It's moist and sweet, almost like it's been dipped in condensed milk, and combined with the butter it felt genuinely luxurious 👍🏻 If you like bread that's crispy outside, soft inside, and sweet, I highly recommend it!! It's a great café on the outskirts of Seoul for a drive, so give it a try on a day off~
