Eojil In Wangsimni Station Branch is a café you could practically forward-roll into from Exit 6 of Wangsimni Station. The public transit access is fantastic. There are countless cafés around Wangsimni Station, but this is honestly one of my top favorites, hands down.

I always come on foot, but apparently the building has space for up to 2 cars to park, and if it's full you can use the E-Mart parking lot right next door.

The moment you open the door, the warmth of the space just melts away any built-up fatigue and puts you in a good mood.

The store has a 1st and 2nd floor layout, and the mood overflows with atmosphere starting right from the stairs going up.

Even the sight of a student quietly working on a laptop in the cute little nook right under the stairs came across like a scene from a painting.

I visited with a friend to enjoy some relaxed time, and we sat by the window where the sunlight poured in.

Café Eojil In is run by a coffee expert with 20 years of experience who understands the happiness good coffee brings, roasting the beans himself in a separate roasting space to offer fresh, balanced coffee — which makes it feel even more trustworthy.

This time we picked the signature café milk bowl (₩6,900), which I order every single time I come, along with a clean iced Americano (₩5,000), and two cakes for dessert: the Matilda chocolate cake (₩6,900) and the signature Basque cheesecake (₩5,900).

Extracted from freshly roasted espresso beans right in the store, the crema was alive, and from the first sip a heavy body and clean finish came through — a deep flavor that stayed faithful to the basics.

This is my absolute favorite signature drink that I order without fail every time I come.

The rich, nutty Sangha Farm organic milk ice cream — the kind you'd find at Paul Bassett or Baekmidang — was harmoniously blended with bittersweet espresso and smooth milk, creating a sweetness and depth of flavor that felt genuinely luxurious.

Signature Basque cheesecake (5,900 won)

This is a signature cake baked in-house, made generously with rich Philadelphia cream cheese and fresh dairy cream.

Pushing the fork through the appetizingly scorched surface, the moist yet dense richness of the cheese melted smoothly and generously across the palate.

Matilda choco cake (6,900 won)

This is a chocolate cake whose visual had already caught my eye from the showcase.

It carried the deep, heavy flavor characteristic of rich dark chocolate, not overly sweet, offering a pleasant bittersweetness that paired especially perfectly with the Americano.

Baked goods for gifts and a room full of bookshelves

Looking around the store, I noticed baked goods like madeleines were also sold packed in pretty gift boxes.

It occurred to me that these would make a really nice gift for my wife later.

Seeing the variety of madeleines, financiers, and tarts lined up in the showcase, all with such great visual appeal, I could really feel how much genuine effort goes into the desserts.
