Buheongsanjang Busan Suyeong branch is a Korean-style izakaya tucked in an alley near Suyeong Station in Busan. On a second visit, the writer ordered the spicy octopus and daechang (grilled pork intestine) stir-fry (₩33,000), which starts as a dry stir-fry but turns into a rich, shallow broth as it simmers with bean sprout stock and daechang fat. Paired with green onion kimchi and spicy sauce, it's a perfect match for soju.
Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is a Japanese restaurant on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store in Dongnae-gu, Busan, handy for a meal before or after a movie at the Lotte Cinema in the same building. Eating alone, the writer ordered the sushi set with 8 pieces of sushi, 3 pieces of tempura, mini udon, salad and tofu salad — the shiitake-scented udon broth and the soft tofu salad with sesame dressing stood out most. A satisfying, filling single-serving set for solo diners.
Anmin Busan is a staff-grilled pork BBQ restaurant tucked in an alley in Busanjin, Busan. Comparing it against the Jinhae flagship, the writer tried the half-pig set 41.0 and a crab-and-dumpling soybean stew, noting the 5pm reservation entry versus 6 waiting parties on the way out. The meat and easy grilling service satisfied, but the meat explanations and mid-meal checks at the Jinhae original were more memorable.

Two adults and one elementary schooler ordered the B set (500g pork neck, 260g pork belly, and butter-grilled vegetables), pre-grilled on an asado grill and eaten with anchovy salt and basil wraps, alongside doenjang stew and pudding-style steamed egg. If you're visiting Gwangalli and want to skip the wait, book through Naver Reservation.

Two orders of 120g pork belly (samgyeopsal) plus one order of 120g pork neck (mokjal) and a tofu doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) made for a filling meal shared between two people. Plenty of parking makes it an easy pick when you want a solid BBQ meal for two.

If you can only pick one side dish, the beef-loaded doenjang sulbap is the one worth ordering.

Sitting in the quiet annex with her sister, the writer shared sweet corn cream pie, lemon pound cake, and iced milk tea, latte, and Marco Polo rouge tea. The annex was especially good for long, quiet conversation over dessert.

If you want Jeju black pork without the wait, this is the place.

After booking ahead for a weekend dinner, we sat by the window and ordered the signature galbi (short rib) pasta, whole-garlic confit aglio olio, peach ade, and red wine, scraping the plate clean down to the house-made pickles. Weekends fill up fast at Brassway, so reserve ahead before you go.

After a raw fish meal, the writer stopped by for crème brûlée French toast, the seasonal peach tiramisu, an orange americano and a royal vanilla bean latte. The crème brûlée French toast, golden outside and moist inside, was the standout.
Daidokoro Gwangalli Main Branch is a Japanese restaurant in Suyeong, Busan, a 7-minute walk from Geumnyeonsan Station. The 2-person Set A came piled with tonkatsu, karaage, and udon, upgraded with a mega karaage set (+₩7,000) and nekomamma butter soy-sauce egg rice (+₩1,500), all inside a Dotonbori-style interior perfect for photos. A great pick when you want a taste of Japan without the flight.
Eco Revi Hair & Spa Haeundae Centum Branch is a hair salon on the first floor of the Haeundae Centum Hotel in Busan. Over two and a half hours, frizzy, thick hair was tamed with a magic straightening treatment and a bob cut that kept natural volume on top instead of going pancake-flat. Massage-chair shampoo seats and an aroma neck and shoulder treatment turned a haircut trip into a mini spa day.
