Seongsu weekend café: peach affogato and red wine kalimotxo, Mellows

On a weekend trip to Seongsu, I got a craving for something sweet and ended up at Mellows, a café near Ttukseom Station! It's a great spot to grab a coffee and some sweet Sangha Farm ice cream. Mellows is known as a go-to dessert spot in Seongsu, so let me share the ice cream and other menu items I actually tried!

Inside Mellows and the terrace in Seongsu

Mellows is located near Ttukseom Station Exit 7. It's tucked away on a quiet alley with hardly anyone around, so you can enjoy the cozy, calm vibe of the café :)

The outdoor terrace was so well done! We picked a terrace seat ourselves. The breeze was so cool and pleasant, it was the perfect weather for a coffee at a terrace café haha

I went looking for café desserts near Ttukseom Station, and the interior vibe was so nice that I felt glad I'd come :) It was also great seating for solo café time.

Mellows menu: ice cream by day, drinks in the evening

A go-to dessert spot in Seongsu! Here's the Mellows menu board. There was coffee, non-coffee drinks, and a whole line-up of Sangha Farm ice cream flavors. There were so many ice cream options it was hard to choose haha

Here's the Mellows evening menu! It seemed like a café during the day and a nice Seongsu bar at night. There was a range of drinks — highballs, cocktails, and more. When I asked the owner, they said kalimotxo was available to order right then, so I ordered it right away!

How do the peach ice cream and affogato taste?

The affogato and peach ice cream I ordered arrived. They looked so cute 😆😆

The peach ice cream had stewed peaches lining the bottom of the cup, with more on top as a topping.

Of course... Sangha Farm ice cream 🫶🫶🫶 the milk flavor is so rich and sweet, and it just melts away ㅠㅠ Eating it with the peach made it even more refreshing and delicious haha

Next up, the affogato ice cream! There's a tiny Mellows sticker on the cup haha

After eating about half of the affogato ice cream, they poured a shot of espresso over it!

The ice cream mixed so well with the espresso shot! The coffee's bitter edge paired beautifully with the rich, soft Sangha Farm ice cream :)

The ₩2,500 americano and the red wine kalimotxo

Next came the americano and the kalimotxo. The americano was only ₩2,500 — such a great price 👍👍

Kalimotxo was a menu item I'd never seen before, so it felt a little unfamiliar. They explained it's red wine mixed with zero-sugar cola. The wine's mellow flavor combined with the cola's sweet fizz worked so well together! It kind of reminded me of drinking a sparkling black raspberry soda haha. I'll definitely order this again next time I'm at Mellows in Seongsu!!

While we were eating, the owner even brought us complimentary snacks haha. The owner was so kind, and it was a great atmosphere for relaxing on the terrace — Mellows, a dessert spot near Ttukseom Station.

Final verdict: is Mellows good for a Seongsu date?

If you're looking for a dessert café in Seongsu, Mellows is worth a visit! Maybe because it's Sangha Farm ice cream, the milk flavor was rich and smooth, and the menu ranged from affogato to fruit ice creams 😊😊 With the terrace atmosphere and an evening menu of cocktails and highballs, it also worked well as a Seongsu date spot!
