Last weekend I met up with friends I hadn't seen in a while, and we grabbed food and coffee in Sinbu-dong. Since a friend was down from Seoul, it took us a while to decide where to go — but I ended up taking everyone to the main café of Sinbu-dong!! Brewers Coffee :) I've visited this place so many times over the years, it's genuinely one of my favorite cafés.🫧

How long was the weekend afternoon wait?
Being a weekend afternoon, it was busy as expected. We waited about 10 minutes, but the waiting area itself was already so pretty, and the owner poured us iced tea while we waited, so I sat there feeling good the whole time 🪽🤍 You could really feel that each guest was being looked after, which made me like the place even more. That kind of thoughtful care is probably exactly why Brewers has stayed a favorite among Sinbu-dong cafés for so long haha.
Interior
The café is so pretty, right? The vintage-yet-hip interior has stayed stylish whether it's now or years ago. 🫶🏻 The wall decorated with frames, plants, and stickers is overflowing with atmosphere. Even the friend who was visiting for the first time kept saying it was pretty and took tons of photos, which made me proud. There were plenty of people sitting alone by the window seats enjoying their time, and even with lots of customers inside, it never felt crowded — the seating felt spacious and relaxed. 🫧

Brewers Coffee and vanilla macadamia
I've actually been to Brewers many times, and Brewers Coffee and vanilla macadamia are my must-order favorites!! The Brewers Coffee has soft almond cream blended harmoniously with mocha, and since I love sweet things, it's a flavor I keep sipping without stopping. The vanilla macadamia also has a nutty aroma that gets more pronounced with each bite, mingling gently with the sweet chocolate — pairs really well with coffee.
Salted choco chip madeleine and butter rice cake financier
The salted choco chip madeleine, which I tried for the first time, had that sweet-yet-salty taste that keeps you coming back for more, addictive in the best way~~ The butter rice cake financier was crisp on the outside and chewy inside, and even friends with different dessert tastes all said it was delicious haha. My friends ordered the flat white and americano, and both were brewed nicely with a nutty flavor and no sourness, which suited the coffee lovers among us perfectly :)
The restroom is also inside the store, and just as hip and full of atmosphere as the rest. There's not a single corner that feels overlooked. The owner's taste is just top-tier,,,🖤🖤🖤
Outdoor terrace and photo booth
There's also an outdoor terrace on the café's exterior ~ the weather was so nice that day, chatting away and eating at the terrace seats seemed like it would be such a relaxed, happy way to spend time :) People who came with their dogs were sitting there. This time I noticed a photo booth had been added too, so if you end up waiting, it's a nice way to pass the time taking photos. ♥
If you're deciding on a café in Sinbu-dong
Brewers Coffee is the café in Sinbu-dong I end up going back to most often. ♡ The desserts, the coffee, the atmosphere — all of it made for a happy day. (I've also been to the Buldang branch a lot 🫶🏻) If you're trying to decide which café to go to in Sinbu-dong, I highly recommend Brewers Coffee~~🕊️ Next time I want to try checking off the other menu items one by one haha (and then probably ending up ordering the same thing every time anyway lol). There's really no better spot for catching up with a friend you haven't seen in ages. ♡
