Late-night cheese ratbokki at a Dangsan beer bar: Long Time No See
In short
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is a self-tap beer bar near Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, where you pick a beer and pour it yourself, paying for the amount you pour. A Dangsan beer bar after a run
My boyfriend and I have been running together lately, and after a hard run that evening it suddenly hit us: "I want a beer..." We both had the exact same thought at the exact same moment, haha. So for a late dinner-slash-beer run, we headed to Long Time No See Dangsan Branch.
Honestly we went in thinking we'd just have a couple of beers and maybe a pizza, but the food turned out way better than expected and the beer system was great too, so we both left really satisfied. A genuine Dangsan find. 🍺

A comfortable spot to sit and drink
Inside, the wood tables and slightly dim lighting made for a perfect beer-drinking atmosphere. It didn't feel like a loud, rowdy pub — more like a comfortable place to sit, eat pizza, and drink beer.

What we ordered: half-and-half pizza + cheese ratbokki
We ordered a half-and-half pizza plus cheese ratbokki (spicy stir-fried noodles). For the pizza we picked steak and shrimp hot chicken. We'd just been running, so this much is fine... right? 😂

The half-and-half pizza exceeded expectations 🍕
First up, the pizza! I loved that you can pick two flavors on one pie. We chose steak and shrimp hot chicken, and since the two were so different, it was fun switching back and forth between bites.

What I really liked about the pizza here was how thin the dough was! I prefer thin pizza where you can actually taste the toppings over thick-crust pizza, and this dough was thin and crispy — exactly my style.

That didn't mean the toppings were skimpy, either — the steak, mushrooms, shrimp, and everything else were piled on generously. And that moment when the cheese stretches out... that's the exact moment you need a beer, haha.
But the cheese ratbokki was really something...
Honestly, the dish that quietly moved me that night was the cheese ratbokki.

One thing I really care about with ratbokki is that the ramyeon noodles shouldn't go soft and mushy. Here the noodles stayed perfectly chewy, and I loved it from the very first bite. There were rice cakes, fish cakes, and a generous layer of cheese on top. Best of all, the sauce wasn't just sweet — it was that spicy-sweet flavor that keeps you reaching for more. Totally my type.

One bite of thin pizza, one bite of spicy ratbokki, one cold sip of beer... and you completely forget you just went running. 😂
But the real star of Long Time No See is the beer 🍺
When I recommend this place as a Dangsan Station spot, what I really want to talk about is the beer. There's such a huge variety! I didn't count exactly, but it felt like there were 20-plus types available.

Self-tap: priced by how much you pour
What's fun here is that you don't just order "one draft beer" — instead you pick whatever beer you want and pour it yourself from a self-tap. Pull the lever, pour into your glass as much as you like, and you're charged by the amount poured! So if you're curious about a beer you've never tried, you can pour just a little to sample, and if you love it, you can fill the glass all the way up. For someone like me who loves tasting a bunch of different beers in small amounts, it's basically heaven... 🍻
Starting with Stella, then working through the rest
I started my first glass with Stella, one of my all-time favorites. My boyfriend went through Asahi, Hoegaarden, and more, and between the two of us we ended up sampling quite a lineup, haha.

What made it even better was that we could each pour a different beer at the same table depending on our taste, then say "try this one!" and compare. So if you're a beer-loving couple looking for a Dangsan spot, I'd recommend this for a date too!
The little details we loved
These details were nice touches
One thing that genuinely impressed me was how well they managed the beer glasses and the self-serve corner. The glasses were spotlessly clean, and there were chilled glasses kept ready so you could drink your beer nice and cold. The hot sauce and powdered cheese at the self-serve corner were also well stocked!

I drink a lot of water normally, and there was heotgae tea (raisin tree tea) at the self-serve corner. It sounds like a small thing, but sipping cold heotgae tea between rounds was genuinely great.
They kept refilling the ice too, so we could keep everything cold right to the end. If you're someone who drinks a lot of water while drinking, this detail will probably win you over!
Did it just taste better because we'd been running...?
Sure, it's possible everything tasted extra good because we'd worked out hard beforehand, haha. But we both kept saying, while eating, "this food is genuinely better than expected here."

which makes me think it wasn't just hunger talking! In particular, the thin-crust half-and-half pizza paired with the chewy cheese ratbokki went really well with the beer.
And more than anything, the real fun that sets Long Time No See apart is that you're not stuck with just one type of draft — you can pick whichever beer you want from the many options and pour exactly as much as you like, yourself.
If you're looking for a late-night Dangsan spot, want pizza and a beer near Dangsan Station, or especially if you want to try a wide range of draft beers, I'd recommend Long Time No See Dangsan Branch. 🍕🍺

We're probably heading here again for beer after our next run... 🏃♀️🍺
