Why I decided on a clinic after my hair felt frizzy post C-curl perm

My hair had been feeling noticeably frizzy lately, so I made a proper trip to ONLY FOR YOU Hannam Main Branch for a real hair clinic instead of my usual quick treatment. Being in Hannam-dong the salon was easy to get to, and the overall clean, relaxed vibe made it feel comfortable even on a first visit. I had a consultation first with Youngseo, a designer specializing in hair clinics, and based on my current hair condition we decided on the GM repair clinic.

My hair was so frizzy, probably from the recent C-curl perm... Before starting the actual clinic, she carefully checked my hair's current condition and which areas were most dry and damaged. Even with the same clinic, results can differ depending on hair condition, and I liked that they didn't just start applying products right away but checked the hair state thoroughly first ❗️

How the clinic process went

The clinic took place lying down the whole time in the shampoo room, and it was warm and drowsy and pretty relaxing. ✔️ They applied plenty of care product to the hair and combed it through by hand so it would absorb well. Flyaways and cuticles were smoothed out and finished with a moisture coating ꕀ everything was done step by step so I could relax through each stage.

Bangs and side-swept baby hair cut to match my face shape

What I especially loved was that along with the clinic, we also did a bangs cut. Instead of just cutting whatever style is trendy, I asked her to cut naturally in a way that suits my face shape, and I was so, so happy with it...🫶 I also asked for the baby hairs that show when I tie my hair up, and she cut those to match my needs too, hehe.

Considering my face shape and overall vibe, she adjusted the length and thickness of my bangs based on my input, and it fell naturally without feeling heavy or artificial — exactly what I wanted ❕ Plus she kindly showed me a simple way to style it myself. Cutting the bangs to match my face shape made the whole overall impression feel completely different ꕀ

The clinic and cut were finished together as one ❗️ After the clinic, my hair felt much smoother and settled softly when I ran my hand through it. Feeling the change immediately was so satisfying.
