If you're traveling in Yeosu, you can't skip the food around Yi Sun-sin Square. Every time I come to Yeosu, I look for something to eat near the square. This time I finally revisited Jwasuyeong Baguette Burger after a long while. Honestly, this place is a bit special to me.

About eight years ago, when I visited Yeosu, I went out of my way to try their baguette burger. It was so good back then that this trip naturally brought the memory back. I revisited with that good memory in mind, and once again, it didn't disappoint.

How does the 6,000-won baguette burger taste?

What I was most looking forward to was, of course, the signature baguette burger. The outside is a crisply toasted baguette, and the inside is generously packed with meat and vegetables.

The sauce ties it all together, with a spicy kick popping up here and there — surprisingly addictive. The crisp baguette texture and the soft filling combine really well.

More than anything, it doesn't feel like just meat stuffed between bread — the filling is packed in solidly enough that one is filling as a snack. And it really was delicious. This time I took the burger and macarons home to eat, and there was one thing I kept saying the whole time.

I should've bought another baguette burger.

Why did I only buy one while traveling? Eating it again at home, I regretted it even more. The good memory from eight years ago carried straight through to this visit, which personally made it even more welcome.

This was my first time properly trying the Jwasuyeong tteungkarong macarons. True to the name, they're chubbier than regular macarons with generous filling.

A single box holds several different flavors, so it's fun picking one after another. What I liked most was how pretty the insulated packaging was!

I expected just basic dessert packaging, but it was so neatly and prettily wrapped that it looked great to bring as a gift.

If you're looking for a small gift for friends after a Yeosu trip, these macarons would work well. We took ours home and ate them alongside the baguette burger, which made it feel like reliving the taste of Yeosu even after the trip.

After trying all three this time, I understood why these keep coming up as must-eats for a Yeosu trip.
