I had an errand in Suwon early one morning not long ago. I'd been up and moving since dawn, so I got hungry and went looking for somewhere to grab a simple breakfast — that's how I ended up at Orange Bagel.

I got there around 7:50am, and it was busier than I expected — some people were already picking up takeout, and others were eating breakfast in the café. If you're looking for a Suwon brunch café that opens early in the morning, this one's worth keeping in mind.

Orange Bagel's red-brick exterior catches your eye right away, and once inside, the bagel display case is the first thing you see. There were so many bagel varieties that anyone hunting for a Suwon bagel spot or bakery café would enjoy just browsing.

Even though it was still early, freshly baked bagels kept coming out onto the shelves, which was fun to watch.

From plain, simple bagels to heartier meal bagels with bacon or egg mayo, there was quite a range.

I'm a bit of a bagel lover, so picking just one wasn't easy — but that day I went with what looked like the signature options: a Laugen bagel and a bacon egg mayo bagel.

Good Morning Set before 10am: Set B for 7,500 won

Orange Bagel's Good Morning Set is a breakfast combo available for orders before 10am. I'd originally planned to order coffee and the mushroom soup separately, but the staff let me know that ordering the Good Morning Set before 10am would actually be more economical.

The Good Morning O Set comes with an Americano, plain bagel, and cream cheese, while the Good Morning B Set I ordered was a plain bagel with mushroom soup for 7,500 won.

Thanks to that, I could put together a breakfast without spending much more than ordering separately would have. If you're visiting before 10am, it's worth checking the Good Morning Set section of the menu first.

How roomy is the second floor at Orange Bagel?

On Orange Bagel's 2nd floor there was a good mix of seating, from tables for two up to larger tables for groups. After a long look at the menu, I ordered a brunch platter, a bulgogi panini, and an iced café latte. While I caught up with my sister after ordering, the food came out pretty quickly. Once we'd ordered, we headed up to the 2nd floor to look around.

The exotic vibe carried on from the red-brick exterior, and upstairs there was a good range of seating, from two-person tables to bigger tables for groups.

The seats were spaced out fairly generously too, making it a comfortable spot for a quick solo breakfast or a relaxed brunch with family or friends.

After a bit, the warm mushroom soup and iced café latte arrived.

There was also an oven set up on one side of the café for warming up bagels.

Each bagel is served differently — some are meant to be warmed, others not — and the menu clearly indicates which is which, so even first-time visitors could choose easily.

I had my bacon egg mayo bagel lightly warmed in the oven, while the buttery Laugen bagel I tried as-is, without warming.

Is the Good Morning Set enough for breakfast?

Between the two bagels and the Good Morning B Set, it ended up being more food than I expected, so I packed up the plain bagel from the set to take home. This time I stopped by early and ate a hearty breakfast, but next time I'd like to visit with a bit more time to spare, order just a coffee and one bagel I really want, and enjoy it slowly.

Worth a visit if you're looking for a Suwon brunch café that opens early, or if you simply want to enjoy a bagel with your coffee.
