Wood-fired pizza takeout in Haenggung-dong, Suwon: Low Five Sinpung

In short

Low Five Sinpung is a wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant in the middle of Haengri-dan-gil in Haenggung-dong, Suwon. As a gift for a visit to a friend's home, Low Five Sinpung packed corn pizza at 25,000 won, limited-quantity classic lasagna at 23,000 won and kimchi fried rice at 14,000 won, with pickles, hot sauce and garlic dipping sauce boxed separately. Takeout covers only pizza, lasagna and fried rice — pasta is dine-in only — but the food tasted exactly as it does in the restaurant.

Today I'm introducing a pizza spot in Haenggung-dong, Suwon — the Low Five Sinpung branch.

Where is Low Five Sinpung, and where do you park in Haenggung-dong?

Low Five Sinpung is located at 32 Sinpung-ro, 1st floor, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It sits right in the middle of Haengri-dan-gil in Haenggung-dong, Suwon.

Parking is available at nearby public lots. Sinpung Public Parking Lot is only a 2-minute walk away, so I'd recommend that one the most!

The red-brick storefront and awning on Haengri-dan-gil

Low Five Sinpung storefront exterior

Low Five Sinpung is a Western-style restaurant serving wood-fired pizza, pasta, lasagna and fried rice. It's especially known in Haenggung-dong for its delicious corn pizza.

Exterior with red brick and awnings

The interior stood out even among the other spots in Haenggung-dong. The exotic red brick and awnings made it feel like stepping into a European-style restaurant.

Sinpung-ro 32 address written like a foreign address

It looked like there could really be a 'Broadway 32nd Street Sinpung Road' address! That's actually the address for Low Five Sinpung — written this way, it almost looks like a foreign address.

Pet-friendly guideline notice

Low Five Sinpung is a pet-friendly restaurant. There are a few posted guidelines, so if you're planning to dine with your pet, be sure to check them.

Waiting times and Catch Table reservations at Low Five Sinpung

Low Five Sinpung waiting information

Waiting is possible from 11:30 AM, and you can reserve ahead through the Catch Table app. On weekdays, arriving before noon usually means no wait, but after that you may end up waiting. On weekends, I've even been turned away at the door ㅠㅠ Weekends really do get busy, so I'd recommend booking ahead with Catch Table ^^

Inside Low Five Sinpung: seating and QR-code ordering

Low Five Sinpung has a spacious interior with plenty of tables — everything from group seating to 2-person tables. Upbeat pub music playing in the background gave it a great atmosphere, making it a good spot for a date or even a first blind-date meeting.

Interior seating at Low Five Sinpung

Wide tables that comfortably fit groups too. There's enough space for 6 people to dine at one table. It looked like a solid choice for year-end or New Year gatherings, or even a wedding-invitation get-together.

Wide group table seating up to 6 people

With wide tables and baby chairs, Low Five Sinpung is also great for visiting with kids. Ordering was convenient too — just scan the QR code at the table and order via mobile.

Vintage wooden furniture interior

I loved the vintage wooden furniture and the foreign-inspired interior concept. And more than anything, every staff member I've met across multiple visits has been friendly. It really seems like Low Five staff overall are well-trained in service.

What we ordered, and which Low Five Sinpung menus can be packed to go

Order of classic lasagna, corn pizza and kimchi fried rice
  • Classic lasagna (limited quantity) ₩23,000
  • Corn pizza ₩25,000
  • Kimchi fried rice ₩14,000

For takeout, everything except pasta is available — pizza, lasagna and fried rice only. I packed these up as a gift for a friend's housewarming ♥

Wrapped takeout containers of lasagna and kimchi fried rice

The lasagna and kimchi fried rice were packed in neat containers and wrapped securely so nothing would spill.

Separately packed pickles and sauce containers

They even packed the pickles, hot sauce and dipping sauce separately in their own containers. This seems like a great thing to bring along for a picnic or when friends drop by.

Classic lasagna opened at home

Limited-quantity classic lasagna, 23,000 won

It was packed while still warm, so it stayed warm even by the time I got home. Since the lasagna is limited quantity, if you see it, you might as well try it..! The ragu sauce at Low Five is genuinely delicious ㅠㅠ ㅋㅋ

Kimchi fried rice with avocado topping, 14,000 won

The combination of fluffy egg and spicy stir-fried kimchi was great. For an extra ₩1,000 you can add avocado topping. Apparently the avocado version of the kimchi fried rice is only available in limited quantities.

Pickles, jalapeños, hot sauce and garlic dipping sauce on the side

Pickles come standard, and I was grateful they threw in extra jalapeños too. They paired really well with the rich Western dishes.

Standard pickles and extra jalapeños

They even gave us two packets of hot sauce. The garlic dipping sauce had that unmistakable homemade feel — this one comes as a side when you order the corn pizza.

Corn pizza, 25,000 won: does takeout taste like the restaurant?

Two hot sauce packets and garlic dipping sauce

This is the corn pizza that, apparently, 9 out of 10 customers at Low Five order. It was packed carefully in a pizza box, then placed inside a plastic bag for extra protection.

The corn pizza arrived safely. The smell wafting from it starting inside the car was almost too much to handle ㅋㅋ

Fresh out of the oven, this pizza needs no explanation. Sweet corn bursting on top of rich cream, with a crisp texture and sweetness that was just so good. The spicy paprika powder was a nice touch.

The toppings include shrimp and sweet corn.

Cheese overflowing on top of the light, savory dough — I ate every bit down to the crust edge. The texture and flavor were amazing! As a Haenggung-dong must-try, this pizza is the real deal. Even after takeout, it tasted exactly like eating it in the restaurant. My friend, eating without much thought at first, suddenly went 'wait, what is going on with this pizza,' and the two of us demolished the whole thing in no time ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ You really can't know the taste until you try it, so I definitely recommend getting the corn pizza. If you're planning a weekend or weekday-evening visit, I'd suggest reserving through Catch Table :)
