Where is Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang Hanam Misa Branch?

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang is located on the 3rd floor of the Obelisk shopping complex, which looks out over Misa Hangang Park! From the parking lot, take the elevator, and if you come in from the 1st floor, I'd recommend the elevator in front of Jewelium.

The moment I stepped in, the view was so good I ended up lingering by the terrace just taking it all in before heading inside! The evenings have gotten cooler lately too, which made it even nicer.

Inside Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang: aging fridge, coffee and roomy tables

The meat models and giant snack bags right at the entrance were honestly overwhelming — the colorful, cute snacks caught my eye immediately, and I bet kids would go wild over them. (Sadly, no kids of my own though.)

The bonus here is you can even get your coffee fix right on site after the meal~ Clean up that meat-greasy palate with an Americano as your penance, right?

On top of that, they seem to age the meat right there in the restaurant! Aged pork is already tender and delicious, so I was getting excited just thinking about how good it'd taste.

There's a fun event going on too, so definitely give it a try! (I got nothing though.)

Tables are set up for a standard 4 people. At a lot of BBQ places the grill takes up so much room the table feels cramped, but at Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang the tables are spacious, so there was zero cramped feeling.

Private room for group gatherings

They also have a private room set up, so it's perfect not just for family gatherings but also for group get-togethers with friends. If the kindergarten I work at were nearby, I'd have recommended it and booked immediately — a bit of a shame it isn't.

Can you bring kids? The kids' zone playground

Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang has a kids' zone playground. If you've ever agonized over dining out with your kids, you don't need to worry about them getting bored here at all. It really lives up to its reputation as a spot known for being great for family visits.

Looking around, there were soft, safe mats on the floor plus arcade games and claw machines that even adults would enjoy — I shamelessly wanted to try them myself.

Infant chairs are, of course, available!

If you want more of any side dish, don't be shy — just go pile it on at the self-serve bar! I honestly lost count of how many times I went back and forth.

Ordering by kiosk and booking a window seat

You order through the little kiosk at each table. Whenever you need something, you can just call staff through the kiosk too — really convenient! 🛎️

Since I'd booked ahead, the staff set me up at a window seat with a gorgeous view. They even had everything set and ready to match my arrival time — truly touched…

What side dishes come with the meal?

Aren't the standard side dishes really generous and clean? From japchae (glass noodle stir-fry) and jjolmyeon (chewy cold noodles) to curb pre-meal hunger, to fresh vegetables that go even better alongside the meat — I loved all of it.

First thing, I downed the cool mukbap (acorn jelly in cold broth) — didn't even portion it out, just dug right in… The jelly was springy and the broth refreshingly cold, loved it.

Oh? There's scallion salad too? You need that scallion salad with meat to cut through the greasiness.

Twist — mixing it up, I found a whole heap of jjolmyeon noodles hidden inside. Naengmyeon (cold noodles) is usually a dessert course, but this is perfect for anyone craving something spicy-sour mid-meal.

The japchae and pickled onions also came out beautifully arranged. Waiting for the meat to grill and just swallowing your saliva is the hardest part, right? Calm your empty stomach with japchae while you wait.

I ordered the fluffy steamed egg 🥚 mixed evenly with the sesame seeds and sesame oil on top, it was nutty, light, and delicious.

I was too busy eating everything to even notice how dirty my spoon had gotten... please look away.

One of the best things about Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang is all the side dishes that come as standard — doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) included. Plus there's an extra burner, so you can keep it simmering the whole time — the best.

They also sell doenjang-rice separately, but eating it with rice from the start works great too.

The half-pork platter: pork neck, belly and jowl

We ordered the half pork platter! 🐷 A perfect amount for two people, I think. The thick, fresh aged pork neck, belly, jowl, and mushrooms all looked delicious even raw.

First up, the pork belly and mushrooms went on together 🍄

The charcoal heat was just right, so the meat cooked up nicely fast. Not too thin, not too thick — perfect for popping a whole piece in your mouth at once.

I got too excited eating and forgot to take a photo of the pork neck grilling. The thick pork neck dipped in salt with a bit of wasabi really brings out the richness of the juices. And that pork jowl in the middle was already getting ready to jump into my mouth.

Chewy pork jowl is definitely the perfect way to finish things off.

Order 3 servings or more and you get grilled mackerel for free~! Such a generous restaurant 🐟 The meat was great, and the staff were so kind on top of it, so I left feeling full and completely at ease 🧡

A Misa neighborhood favorite near Hanam's Misa Sports Complex and Hangang Park — highly recommend Hanmaeum Jeongyuk Sikdang for its genuinely great meat (Hattu).
