Damgeum Gelato Misa Branch is on the first floor of the Mono Lounge on Misagangbyeon Hangang-ro, and the atmosphere catches your eye even just passing by. I visited in the evening, so the lights were already on, and I really loved the terrace mood.

On days like these that aren't too hot or too cold, eating dessert outside beats sitting indoors. Once you step inside, the interior is cozy and clean too.

With so many flavors ready to choose from, it's fun just deciding one by one. Why is it that at a gelato shop you always end up agonizing over the same flavors you always pick, haha. There are also gelato packs ready for takeout, so it's great for taking some home whenever you want.

Ta-da! Look how pretty that is, right? I've eaten a lot of gelato in my time, and this place gets top marks on visuals alone, haha. The flavor color combos are pretty, and even the cup they serve it in has a nice feel.

The Icheon rice gelato at Damgeum Gelato Misa Branch was smooth with a rich nutty flavor that really came through, making it my personal favorite. But being pretty isn't everything, right? Time to actually taste it! I basically always pick the Icheon rice flavor whenever a gelato shop has it. I love that nutty yet smooth taste so much.

Damgeum's Icheon rice was right up my alley again! The smooth, nutty flavor came through richly and it was delicious. Alternating with the peach let me enjoy both the nutty taste and the fresh fruit flavor in one cup, and the combo worked really well. If you're a fan of rice gelato while looking for a Misa gelato spot, try the Icheon rice. It's my personal favorite. :)

The kids' picks: chocolate and orange gelato

What our daughter picked was chocolate and orange. Kids' love for chocolate never changes, haha.

Eating rich chocolate and then taking a bite of orange added a refreshing kick, and the combo turned out surprisingly good. Our daughter ate it up happily, all sweet and tangy. It's great for buying one cup to share while walking with kids, and adults get to have fun picking something a little more special to their own taste too. The indoor space is clean and cozy too, but for this season I recommend the terrace! With gelato served in such pretty cups, it also seems like a nice spot for a casual date.
