For me, dessert after lunch is a must!!! I usually read a book or work on my laptop while enjoying a nutty americano and some bakery goods. I went for some study-café time and laptop work at [Café Meomureum], a salt bread spot in Jeongja-dong, Suwon with such a great vibe. The place has such a variety of atmospheres — I loved it!! Let's get into the review.
Location and basic info

Café Meomureum, the salt bread spot in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, is on the 2nd floor of the Dongsin apartment shopping center near Manseok Park. There are two entrances. It's a shop inside an apartment complex mall, but it's surprisingly large. A great place to drop by on your way somewhere.

What's the vibe like?

It's on the 2nd floor of the Dongsin apartment mall, and the space is way bigger and more pleasant than I expected!! The windows are quite large, so it's bright and airy. It has an antique feel while also being lush and calm thanks to all the big potted plants!! Overall it's wood tone, white, and green — natural without being flashy.

There are pretty frames and various props, so it was fun taking photos at the photo zones too. The tables and chairs aren't all matching but rather each a bit different, and somehow it still works together nicely. Since it's on the 2nd floor, the street trees outside the window look so green and lovely. Come autumn, the foliage should be gorgeous too!!
A great space for studying and laptop work

Next to the counter is a completely different, spacious area. It's really tailored for study-café users!!! There are partitioned tables like a reading room, plus large tables. And two outlets at every seat.

The area with the large tables has such a pretty atmosphere that it would work well for party rooms or birthday parties too. They actually do offer group bookings, so ask if you're interested.
Bakery and dessert selection

They have a wide variety of bakery items and desserts: salt bread, garlic bread, Basque cheesecake, ham cheese sandwich, walnut pie, candied walnuts, macarons, and more.

Americano

I got a refreshing iced americano with an extra shot. When drinking it hot, the standard shot is fine, but iced tastes better a bit stronger!! That way it stays bold all the way to the last sip.
Salt bread

This salt bread (so금빵) is crispy outside and moist inside. They warmed it up for me, so it was soft with a rich buttery aroma. Not too sweet, plain and savory, with bits of salt giving a salty crunch — it's the kind of bakery item you never get tired of.
Walnut pie

This walnut pie has that satisfying crunch from the walnuts. Not too sweet, plain and delicious. It went really well with the americano!!
Wrap-up

I really loved that the space is split into an area good for chatting and one good for studying/laptop work!! Each was decorated with real style. With its warm, cozy atmosphere and delicious coffee and desserts, if you're looking for a salt bread spot in Jeongja-dong, Suwon, I'd recommend [Meomureum]!!!
