Today I want to introduce a famous Hangdang-dong restaurant, Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom (푸줏간생고기점).

Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is one of Wangsimni's signature meat restaurants, a great-value cauldron-lid pork belly spot that gives you unlimited free stew, naengmyeon, guksu and nurungji once you order meat for your whole table.

I always saw crowds here whenever I passed near Wangsimni Station, so I was curious — finally made it in. Let's see how the food is.
What does the inside of Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom look like?

The interior of Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom is clean and comfortable — the classic local favorite vibe. The lattice-patterned sliding doors, in traditional hanok style, stood out. Even though I came a bit early, there were already quite a few customers.
Menu prices and the free dessert lineup

They mostly serve beef and pork, with a wide variety of cuts. Hanwoo (Korean beef) options include sirloin, chuck flap, brisket point, flat iron, yukhoe (raw beef tartare) and more, while handon (Korean pork) options include raw pork belly, pork neck, pork jowl, skirt-side cuts, gabrisal and more.

And dessert — order meat per headcount and you get two kinds of stew, water naengmyeon, bibim naengmyeon, janchi guksu and nurungji, all unlimited!!
This kind of service is exactly why Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom has become a go-to spot in Hangdang-dong.
The table setting and side dishes

We ordered raw pork belly and pork neck. Once you order the meat, they set up a well-oiled cauldron lid,

and out come side dishes prepped for easy eating — mushrooms, kimchi, dressed lettuce, mountain leek greens, and wrap vegetables, all perfect with pork.
The mountain leek greens and dressed lettuce especially had just the right seasoning and paired amazingly with the meat. Eat them together and you can't stop.
Korean pork spread at 20,000 won per person

Finally, today's star — handon!! You could tell at a glance it was quality meat.
Thick cuts, great color. Honestly ₩20,000 per person isn't cheap, but between the quality and the unlimited desserts, it passes the test.
And another perk of Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom — the staff grill the meat for you. They grilled it to just the right doneness and size, deliciously.

Watching the pork and kimchi turn golden brown on the well-coated cauldron lid makes you want to dig in immediately. Great smell, mouth-watering visual.

Thanks to their perfect grilling, I could eat comfortably without lifting a finger.

The sense to time even the very last piece so the flow never breaks — that's a skill. The meat tasted so good it disappeared in a blink. Genuinely tender, juicy, thick handon.

The kimchi grilled alongside was delicious too — really a satisfying meal in every way.
Unlimited dessert refills: every course tried

We also ordered a bit of every type of dessert from the unlimited refill menu, and the quality was better than expected — genuinely tasty across the board.
Start with noodles, finish with steamed rice! With this much unlimited food, you wonder if the restaurant makes any money.
By the way, the naengmyeon has no egg — apparently that's to prevent food poisoning.
Is Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom worth it? Points to check
- 👉 Quality, delicious handon
- 👉 Wide variety of unlimited dessert refills
- 👉 Staff grill the meat for you
These are probably the reasons Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom has been loved for so long.
A satisfying, generous meal from start to finish — Pujutgan Saenggogi-jeom, a Hangdang-dong favorite! If you're ever near Wangsimni, I'd definitely recommend stopping by. It's perfect for a family meal out, a meal with friends, or a work dinner with colleagues.
