Charcoal pork neck with myeolchi-jeot and honeycomb tripe in Paju
In short
Tannae Paju Main Branch is a charcoal-grilled pork restaurant in Gareom-maeul, Unjeong, Paju, Gyeonggi. The writer ordered two servings of selected pork neck, seasoned honeycomb tripe, and ramyeon, finishing pre-grilled meat on the table charcoal and pairing pork neck with myeolchi-jeot (fermented anchovy sauce) and tripe with roasted soybean powder. Lately when I go out for meat, who's doing the grilling matters more than you'd think haha. It's a bit of a letdown if you spend the whole meal busy grilling instead of actually eating. This time I visited Tannae Paju Main Branch in Gareom-maeul, Paju — a charcoal grill place that pre-grills the meat for you before it hits the table. I was curious, so I checked it out. If you're searching for a Korean BBQ spot in Paju's Unjeong area where you can eat comfortably, take a look :)
Finding Tannae Paju Main Branch in Gareom-maeul

Tannae Paju Main Branch is located near Gareom-maeul in Unjeong, Paju. The address is 73 Garam-ro, 1F Unit 103, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do! It's a convenient spot whether you're looking for dinner in Unjeong or a place to grab meat with friends.

The layout also works well for groups, so it seemed like a good pick for family dinners or gatherings too.
The self-serve bar you'll keep reaching for

The basic side dishes are set up when you sit down, and if you run out, you can easily grab more from the self-serve bar.

When I go to a Korean BBQ place, I prefer eating wraps and side dishes alongside the meat rather than just eating meat nonstop, so having a self-serve bar where I could grab as much as I needed was really convenient. If you're the type who cares about the full banchan lineup, not just the meat, when searching for Korean BBQ in Paju's Unjeong, I think you'll appreciate this too :)
A well-stocked table setup even before the meat arrives

Once you sit down, the basic side dishes that pair well with the meat are laid out first.

Cooking over charcoal is so nice!! What we ordered that day was two servings of the selected pork neck, seasoned honeycomb tripe, and ramyeon!

When you order meat, a stew comes standard too — either crab doenjang stew or pork kimchi stew — so we went with the kimchi stew haha.

Even before the meat arrived, the table was already piled high with side dishes and stew haha.
The pre-grilled method meant no scrambling to cook

What stood out most about Tannae was that the meat isn't grilled from scratch at the table!
The ordered meat comes pre-grilled, and you just finish it off a bit more on the table's charcoal. At most Korean BBQ places, one person basically ends up on grill duty and can barely join the conversation haha. If you're searching for Korean BBQ in Paju's Unjeong and find grilling from scratch a hassle, I'd recommend Tannae.
Charcoal-grilled selected pork neck

The selected pork neck we had came out thick, so it got a little extra time on the charcoal to finish.

After finishing it on the charcoal, the outside was nicely browned while the inside stayed juicy rather than dry, giving it that satisfying chew you want from a thick-cut pork neck.

I especially loved the pork neck with myeolchi-jeot (fermented anchovy sauce) combo — I kept reaching for the myeolchi-jeot the whole meal haha.

Since the thick pre-grilled pork neck just needs finishing on the charcoal, it's easy to cook and picks up a subtle smoky flavor — if you're looking for Korean BBQ in Unjeong, Paju, I hope you'll try the pork neck here too :)
Spicy ramyeon is a must

After eating meat for a while, I started craving something hot and soupy, so we ordered an extra ramyeon.

Taking a sip of ramyeon broth right after the charcoal-grilled pork neck was such a good combo haha. Finishing a BBQ meal with cold noodles is nice too, but I actually prefer pairing hot, spicy ramyeon with the meat like this.
No skipping the tripe, even full

We'd already had pork neck, stew, and ramyeon, but the seasoned honeycomb tripe was on the menu so we ended up adding it anyway haha.

The thick honeycomb tripe was cut into bite-sized pieces and grilled until the outside browned nicely, with a chewy texture that got better the more you chewed.

It's good on its own thanks to the seasoning, but tripe really shines dipped in roasted soybean powder haha. Between the sweet-savory sauce and the nutty soybean powder, I kept picking at it even after saying I was full.
When you're craving BBQ in Unjeong, Paju
Tannae Paju Main Branch finishes pre-grilled meat on table charcoal, which made for an easy, comfortable meal. We had the selected pork neck with myeolchi-jeot, the complimentary kimchi stew, spicy ramyeon, and finally the seasoned honeycomb tripe — and it was fun pairing each dish along the way haha.
Not having to grill the meat from scratch and being able to grab side dishes freely from the self-serve bar made it a solid choice for family dinners or meals with friends. If you're searching for Korean BBQ in Paju's Unjeong area or looking for a charcoal grill restaurant near Gareom-maeul, I'd recommend Tannae Paju Main Branch :)
