Pangyo Korean omakase dinner: Summer Stamina Course at Kkweda
In short
Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch is a Korean omakase restaurant on the first floor of Avenue France in Pangyo, Seongnam. At the weekend dinner first seating, the Summer Stamina Course (₩75,000) brought sweet corn custard and charcoal-grilled Iberico pork as the standout dishes, and the goto udon noodles in the neungi mushroom duck soup were especially chewy. The course at Kkweda suits occasions where you want to treat someone, like an anniversary or a first date.

This is Gomssi, back from another Pangyo food spot. This time I'm introducing a place that's perfect for an anniversary — Kkweda, where you can eat Korean omakase!
Where is Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch, and what are its hours?
Kkweda is located on the first floor of Avenue France in Pangyo. It runs lunch 12:00-14:30, dinner first seating 17:00-18:45, and dinner second seating 19:00-20:45. The exterior looked upscale at a glance, so it stood out immediately.

It had been a while since I had omakase, so I was excited to see how good it would be!

What's in the Summer Stamina Course at Kkweda?
Kkweda was currently featuring a Summer Stamina Course.
- Watermelon gazpacho
- Grilled vegetable salad
- Sweet corn custard
- Charcoal-grilled Iberico pork
- Sea bass karaage
- Eel donburi (rice bowl)
- Duxelles mushroom duck soup
- Yogurt sherbet
It was a solid, full lineup. I walked in with my heart racing..!!
Inside Kkweda: atmosphere and seating

The interior had that same upscale omakase feel.

Most of the seating was bar chairs, and that's where we sat. Since we came on a weekend evening, all but two bar seats were taken. There was also a 6-seat table.
Course price, add-ons and the drinks rule at dinner

The table had today's course laid out neatly. The Summer Stamina Course was ₩75,000.
You could add a hanwoo (Korean beef) uni maki, and add truffle to the eel donburi. We didn't add the maki, but every other table around us did. It must be good!!

Dinner required ordering alcohol. If you can't drink, there's a non-alcoholic menu too. We ordered one non-alcoholic and one alcoholic drink — the Kkweda mojito (₩12,000) and Monkey Shoulder highball (₩13,000).

From watermelon gazpacho to grilled vegetable salad
The course started a bit after 5pm. The watermelon gazpacho that came out first was tangy and cool, a true appetizer. It really woke up the appetite.

I was drinking the Monkey Shoulder highball, and wow, it was stronger than I expected haha. My face was flushed red by the time I got home.
The grilled vegetable salad came with prosciutto and a variety of vegetables.

The staff explained each dish as it came out, which made us feel really taken care of haha.

There were nuts in it that gave a nutty crunch — really tasty.

The best dish at Kkweda: sweet corn custard
Sweet corn custard — this was the best dish my boyfriend and I picked!

You'd think scallops wouldn't go with corn cream, but they actually paired surprisingly well. It was nutty and sweet, and after finishing it I felt weirdly full already — and this was only the third dish?? Unbelievable..

Charcoal-grilled Iberico pork and sea bass karaage
The charcoal-grilled Iberico pork was cooked in an open kitchen, so we could watch it being made right in front of us, which made it even more exciting.

This was the second-best dish for me. The meat was really tender and soft, and it paired really well with the potatoes served alongside it.
The sea bass karaage came with a yuzu ponzu sauce.

Classic crispy-outside, tender-inside frying! Crispy on the outside and soft inside, it paired really well with the yuzu ponzu sauce.

Eel donburi and neungi mushroom duck soup with goto udon noodles
I was already really, really full at this point (so annoying to be full haha), but then the eel donburi (rice bowl) came out. Very tender eel served over rice with tarae sauce, and the crunchy melon pickles were a nice surprise flavor.

They also gave us a light broth to sip alongside it. The combination of well-grilled eel, tarae sauce, rice, and melon pickles was really good.

I was really full, but then the last dish came out — duxelles mushroom duck soup!!

This one was really delicious. Even though I'm not a big fan of duck, the duck was tender and the noodles were amazing..!!! I'd never had somyeon (thin noodles) this chewy before, so I actually asked the staff what kind of noodles they were. Goto udon noodles... I'll definitely buy some to try at home next time.
Dessert to finish: yogurt sherbet
Last but not least, the yogurt sherbet came out.

The compote and crumble on top were a wonderful combination, words can't even describe it. It was a great palate cleanser to end the meal.
Who is dinner at Kkweda Pangyo Avenue France Branch best for?
If you're looking for an upscale Korean omakase in Pangyo, this is the place!! It seems like people come here for blind dates too. The table next to us seemed to be on one, which made for fun people-watching haha. This is a place I'd love to visit again!
