Why Manseokjip near Suwon Station?

Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch is a room bar on Suwon Station's Rodeo Street, so it was a great place to talk without worrying about other people around. I wanted somewhere comfortable to catch up on all the news with a friend, and that's how I ended up here haha

Being able to chat away in an independent private space without any interruptions, while enjoying great side dishes with a friend, made this place really satisfying!

Ordering beef belly hot pot and tofu with stir-fried pork kimchi on a tablet

At Manseokjip Suwon Station Branch, once we settled in, we went ahead and ordered the beef belly hot pot, half a block of tofu with stir-fried pork kimchi, and a cold Cass beer through the handy tablet at the table haha

The first basic side dish that came out was a salty, crunchy chicken-leg-shaped cracker! It had been a while since I had one, and it was spicy-sweet and delicious!

What is beef belly hot pot (woo-samgyeop jeongol) like?

Then the main dish, beef belly hot pot, arrived set up on a burner, and it caught the eye right away with its generous look.

The pot was piled high with vivid red beef belly, generously loaded, with all kinds of fresh vegetables and mushrooms packed in underneath.

As it started bubbling away, the broth soaked deeply into the ingredients, and the beef belly's texture wasn't tough at all — tender and soft, perfect for scooping up with the broth.

As time passed, the savory juices from the beef belly blended with the vegetables, giving the broth an even richer, more reduced flavor — I ate it very happily.

Half a block of tofu with stir-fried pork kimchi

The tofu with stir-fried pork kimchi we ordered alongside was also an excellent pairing. I'd been craving tofu with stir-fried pork kimchi for a while, and it was such a happy coincidence that it was on the menu.

Steaming, moist, warm tofu came out sliced into big pieces, with plenty of spicy-sweet stir-fried pork kimchi laid out beside it — the plating alone looked appetizing.

Putting a big scoop of the well-cooked stir-fried kimchi and pork onto the savory, mild tofu and popping it in one bite, the seasoning was spot on — perfect as a beer snack haha

Taking a sip of the crisp, refreshing Cass cleaned up the greasiness in my mouth perfectly — a great combination.

Private room sizes and room fees at Manseokjip

Manseokjip has well-equipped private rooms that can hold anywhere from 2 to 10 people, making it a good pick for group gatherings or as a Suwon Station group room bar. The room fee is a modest ₩2,000 on weekdays and ₩3,000 on weekends, and you can relax comfortably for a basic 2.5 hours haha

It's also a great spot to visit with a friend or partner, so I'd recommend it as a Suwon Station date course too. Take part in the review event and you can get extras like patbingsu (red bean shaved ice)!
