It's a nice spot to stop by for brunch with a baby. It works for date courses, hanging out with friends, casual meals — all kinds of moods. Having no separate break time is a real strength. Seongsu restaurants tend to have cramped indoor spaces, but Brivite Seongsu's brunch space has a good variety of table seating.

I was curious about the butter highball, so I ordered one — and it really does smell of butter. I'm no highball expert so I can't get too detailed about the flavor, but overall the balance is good for a casual daytime drink. Above all, this kind of highball is their own signature drink, so I'd recommend it for a distinctive vibe. The glass is pretty too, and the butter highball finishes off with a chic touch of cinnamon stick.

Greek yogurt salad, ₩11,900

At Brivite Seongsu brunch, I noticed every table had ordered the Greek yogurt salad. Once I tried it, I got why. At a reasonable price, it's great as a starter or appetizer. The fragrant flavor of fresh basil olive oil goes so well with the Greek yogurt, tomato, and basil leaves. I personally love this kind of salad, so I was really satisfied eating it.

I thought you could keep it simple and be perfectly happy with just the butter highball and the Greek yogurt salad.

Green onion cream corn gnocchi, ₩18,900

This is a signature dish at Brivite Seongsu's pasta menu. The rabbit pasta and the green onion cream corn gnocchi are this place's two standout, strong dishes. I've been to a lot of restaurants, but Brivite clearly captures both a foreign-tourist sensibility and a local sensibility in its plating.

I'd recommend scooping up a good spoonful of the sauce and gnocchi together to get the sticky, chewy, crispy texture along with the exquisite smoothness of the cream all at once. There's bacon in there too, so you catch its flavor here and there, which is nice. Brivite's food definitely has a sense of restraint.

When the baby fell asleep

Our baby fell asleep. When you're out and about and the baby falls asleep, it's really awkward — but thanks to the thoughtfulness of the staff at Brivite Seongsu, they pushed tables together so I could lay the baby down on the sofa for a bit to sleep. Thank you so much. ♥ We had such a happy time on our exciting daytime brunch outing with the baby!
