Located on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street, Meolmeol is a brunch café where you can enjoy Italian-based brunches and drinks with distinctive combinations in a trendy, Nordic-inspired space. The cute, exotic interior, fresh-flower decorations, and wide-ranging menu made this a Meolmeol story that simply felt happy ♥

A Pangyo brunch favorite for distinctive dishes in an atmospheric space @ Meolmeol Pangyo
While looking for Pangyo brunch, I visited Meolmeol on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street. The exterior already had such a unique mood, and inside, the colorful décor and little objects everywhere caught my eye. It was fun just looking around the pretty space, and the food was delicious too—so this was a day when we properly enjoyed four brunch dishes and drinks as well ♩ Into the story we go, go +.+/

What is Meolmeol Pangyo like?
There was a short introduction to Meolmeol at the entrance. Meolmeol is a Nordic-inspired brunch café in Pangyo, Bundang, presenting original dishes that blend an Italian base with a drop or two of new combinations. It is reasonably accessible from Pangyo Station or Sunae Station, and easy to find on Baekhyeon-dong Café Street.

Our main orders that day were the seasonal jambon ricotta salad, raspberry endive salad, spicy lemon anchovy pasta, and truffle baby potatoes; we also each ordered a different drink, so it was wonderfully varied. Meolmeol's own personality-filled menu was definitely so appealing. So the conclusion: 100% willing to return :)

Parking and an exotic exterior
There is room for around one or two cars beside the café, free of charge. If space is limited, the very nearby Baekhyeon-dong Café Street public parking lot is available, so it was a good place to visit by car too. Parking guidance in front of the shop.

Meolmeol Pangyo's exterior has an exotic, unique feel that is a little different from a typical brunch café. There are plenty of décor details around the entrance too, making it great for photos. Just looking around the space puts you in a good mood~

Colorful interior and window seats
The window-side seat where we sat. It was lovely for a relaxed brunch because we could naturally enjoy both the view outside and the atmosphere inside.

The vivid colors really stood out indoors. Bright, playful, cute elements were placed throughout, making it fun to take in the different moods from one area to another. The staff also wore Meolmeol-specific headscarves and aprons, and it was impressive to see how neatly everything was managed from a hygiene perspective.

I did not want to miss a single corner, so I feel like I took five hundred million photos? Haha. Tables, window spaces, all sorts of little objects, even fresh-flower arrangements. Rather than emphasizing just one or two elements, details had been added everywhere. The fresh flowers especially brought the space to life, creating a trendy yet warm mood.

Our orders, from salads to pasta
Seasonal jambon ricotta salad
A fresh salad with in-season figs, jambon, ricotta cheese, crispy nuts, and herbs. It was a light dish that let the flavor and texture of each ingredient shine.

Raspberry endive salad
Meolmeol Pangyo's endive salad includes raspberries, lemon zest, peach, and jamón. Add Greek yogurt with honey, and it becomes a citrusy salad bursting with freshness!

Spicy lemon anchovy pasta
Personally, my favorite of the day. My favorite?? Though the truffle baby potatoes were delicious too... and the ube latte... and the salads... Anyway, it was all delicious haha. The al dente noodles had just the right texture, while the savory saltiness of anchovy and citrus fragrance of grilled lemon created great umami; it was lightly spicy too, and such a tasty pasta.

₩9,000 happiness: truffle baby potatoes
I saw in reviews that these were supposed to be so good... I thought, baby potatoes? They will probably taste like the ones we already know—but wow......... What would we have done if we had not ordered them...? They are even better than delicious highway-rest-stop baby potatoes, so I highly, highly recommend ordering them ♥ Crisply crushed and fried baby potatoes come with Meolmeol's special truffle cream sauce; they exceeded expectations so much that I want to call them ₩9,000 happiness. Thumbs up +.+

Brunch with an ube latte
Pink lemonade, orange ade, and an ube latte. The ube latte I tried for the first time that day has had me asking, “Do they have an ube latte like that here?” every time I go to a café since~ The nuttiness of latte + the nuttiness of ube. Rich espresso flavor joined the ube cream, and the balance was so good when mixing the coffee and cream. It is seriously, seriously nutty, so if you like lattes, I recommend definitely ordering the ube latte at Meolmeol Pangyo~
Because the food came out one by one as it was made, the star of that day's video was the spicy lemon anchovy pasta~

The seasonal jambon ricotta salad was such a good combination: soft ricotta, flavorful jambon, fresh vegetables, and in-season figs. Layering each ingredient together gave every bite several flavors, with a different texture from each component.

Tart raspberries and berries, peach, and yogurt cream came together for an overall fresh, fruity feel~

The creaminess of Greek yogurt, the flavor of jamón, and the crunch of endive make for a very tart, citrusy bite of salad. It would be great for whetting the appetite before a meal, or as a dessert if ordered afterward.

Al dente noodles, savory anchovy, bright grilled lemon + spice. This pairing, no words needed... impossible for it not to be good! It was an umami explosion of a pasta, and one I think I would order again on my next visit.

The ₩9,000 happiness dish that brought our Baekhyeon-dong brunch at Meolmeol Pangyo to a close: truffle baby potatoes. The combination of crisp, nutty potatoes and truffle cream sauce went beyond the familiar idea of fried baby potatoes and was especially memorable. It is an easy dish to add on, but its flavor stayed strongly with me. Along with the kind service, this was the story of a Bundang brunch where we thoroughly enjoyed four dishes and drinks at Meolmeol Pangyo.
