Private group room for work dinners at Olheun Gogi, a Suwon BBQ spot
In short
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant with private group rooms, a 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Mangpo Station in Suwon, Gyeonggi. Scouting the place for a work dinner, three of us ordered the Olheun Pork Table Set (₩118,000) and the Goma Marbled Wagyu Fresh Bone-in Rib (₩36,000), and the staff grilled everything at the table. Olheun Gogi is open from noon to 3am, so it works for a late-starting company dinner or a second-round spot.

I was recently agonizing over where to hold a company dinner when I heard about a place near Mangpo Station with a reputation as a real local favorite. I booked a reservation right away to scope it out first. It was called Olheun Gogi (옳은고기, meaning "the right meat") — even the name radiated confidence, haha. Company dinners usually run late, so operating hours are always a worry for me. But this place had that covered too, so my expectations were already climbing the moment I made the reservation. Every time I've searched for a Mangpo Station meat restaurant before, I've come away a little unsatisfied, but this time I had a good feeling. I practically sped up on the walk over, curious what the vibe would be like.
A 5-minute walk from Mangpo Station Exit 6, with parking out front
Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch sits near Mangpo Station, and the access was pretty great. It's under a 5-minute walk from Exit 6 of Mangpo Station! And parking right out front is genuinely a big plus. Parking stress is such a common headache when picking a company dinner spot, so it was a relief this place had that sorted. The sign is easy to spot too, so even a first-timer wouldn't get lost. The surrounding alley has that typical bustling commercial-district feel, with people coming and going naturally even at night. For anyone craving meat near Mangpo Station, this level of accessibility easily gets a passing grade.

The moment I arrived, the exterior struck me as clean and well put together. The sign design wasn't overdone either — sleek and understated — so my first impression was quite good.

The private group room and table spacing at Olheun Gogi
Walking in, the space was far bigger than I expected — I was a little surprised. There were tons of tables, spaced generously enough that we could chat comfortably without worrying about the next table over. There's also a separate private group room, which made me think this couldn't be better suited for a company dinner. The lighting was soft but still bright enough to see the meat's color clearly. Overall, it wasn't too noisy either, so conversation felt easy. From the moment we sat down, I felt this would be the perfect company dinner spot.
Open noon to 3am: good for a late work dinner or second round
What I really loved here was the hours. It opens at noon and runs until 3am, with last order at 2am — perfect for a company dinner that starts late or as a second-round spot. Company dinners usually run longer than planned. Normally that means clock-watching and feeling awkward about closing time, but here that worry simply didn't exist.
If it's open this late, we can stay as long as we want without stressing about it.
That's what the friend who came with me said, delighted. Anyone searching for Mangpo Station samgyeopsal (pork belly) or Mangpo Station beef would find these hours alone pretty appealing.

What's in the Olheun Pork Table Set (₩118,000) for three
We ordered the Olheun Pork Table Set (₩118,000) and the Goma Marbled Wagyu Fresh Bone Rib (₩36,000)! Looking at the table set, my first thought was how generous it was. It comes with 150g of hanwoo (Korean beef) yukhoe (raw beef tartare), plus top-grade Korean pork belly, neck, and upper sirloin totaling 710g, and 100g of grilling cheese on top of that. For the choice side, we picked pork kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), and honestly this spread was more than enough for the three of us. From the moment the meat was set down, the color was vivid and the grain looked alive — freshness you could see at a glance. Having a staff member grill it for us was such a plus, too — we didn't have to worry about timing at all and could just relax and eat. The meat quality was so good that even the sizzle of oil popping while it grilled sounded delicious.
The side dishes, especially the braised radish

The banchan (side dishes) included myeongi namul (wild garlic leaves), pickles, yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), baek kimchi (white kimchi), lettuce wraps, braised radish, and pickled vegetables. That variety made them great to pair with the meat. The braised radish in particular had a spicy kick that really woke up the palate, so I kept reaching for more. The spicy sauce had soaked deep into the radish, so even one bite left a lingering, tingling aftertaste. Slipping this in between bites of meat kept my mouth feeling refreshed instead of greasy. The white kimchi and young radish kimchi were both refreshingly cool and paired well with the meat too. The lettuce wraps were fresh, so wrapping bites was fun on top of everything else.
How the pork belly, neck and upper sirloin tasted

As the pork belly grilled and turned golden brown on the outside, the color alone made my mouth water. With the sizzling sound on the grill and that savory aroma spreading through the air, this was exactly what real grilled meat smells like. Taking a bite, the outside was crisp and the inside tender — the texture was unmistakable. The more I chewed, the more juice came through, and a savory flavor filled my mouth. The neck meat had a slightly chewier texture than the belly, fun to bite into. The upper sirloin stood out for its soft texture, and rotating between the three cuts made the meal that much more enjoyable. Eaten warm, the juiciness really came through, and even once it cooled a bit, there was no gamey smell — just a clean aftertaste. It genuinely lived up to being labeled top-grade Korean pork.
Hanwoo beef yukhoe: the freshness was on another level

The hanwoo yukhoe included in the table set arrived with a vivid, lively red color. There was a glossy sheen that made freshness obvious at a glance. Since this restaurant also handles beef, the freshness of the yukhoe felt distinctly different. Taking a bite, the texture melted softly — quite memorable. The sauce was on the slightly sweet side, the kind of flavor that would appeal to anyone, young or old. The more I chewed, the more the natural meat flavor and the sauce's sweetness blended harmoniously. It left a lingering finish that seemed to dissolve in my mouth, making me want just one more bite, over and over.
Grilling cheese in a lettuce wrap: big flavor

When the grilling cheese arrived, I wasn't sure how to eat it at first. But once it grilled lightly on the pan, the outside turned golden and a savory aroma rose up. I tried putting it in a lettuce wrap along with the meat, and the flavor changed completely. As the cheese melted into the meat, the savoriness seemed to double. The stretchy texture with each bite was fun too. I worried it might feel greasy, but instead it actually enhanced the meat's flavor — surprising. My companion said this was their first time trying the combo and kept asking me to grill more cheese.
Goma Marbled Wagyu Fresh Bone-in Rib, ₩36,000

It felt like a waste to only eat pork, so we added one serving of the Goma Marbled Wagyu Fresh Bone Rib. The moment it hit the grill, the tight marbling immediately caught my eye. As it cooked, oil sizzled and rendered out, and the aroma alone got my expectations up. Taking a bite, the texture that melted away in my mouth was pure artistry. There's a reason people say beef is beef, haha. It went down smoothly with barely any chewing needed, and a savory juiciness filled my mouth. This one was grilled by staff too, cooked to just the right doneness. If you're after beef near Mangpo Station, I'd tell you to definitely add this dish.

The whole grain mustard and scallion soy sauce that came with the beef were also excellent. Dipping lightly in the mustard gave a tangy flavor with a fun popping texture from the grains. It cut through richness nicely without overwhelming the meat's natural flavor. The scallion soy sauce was salty with a subtle sharp scallion aroma spreading through, offering yet another way to enjoy the meat. Switching between the two sauces made the same meat taste different each time. Details like this made it clear this place put real thought into the meal. Even the sauces felt carefully prepared, which raised my overall satisfaction.
Would I recommend Olheun Gogi for a company dinner?
Even the sound of meat sizzling on the grill felt warm and inviting — I think tonight's dinner will stay a fond memory for a long time.
Overall, this was a highly satisfying visit. The value for the price was generous, and above all, the meat quality was good enough to trust. Just looking at the table set, it's great value for a group to enjoy a variety of cuts together. Everyone who came with me looked satisfied, especially surprised by how tender the beef was. If I had to name one drawback, it's that this place is popular enough that you might face a wait without a reservation. Next time, I'd love to try other beef cuts I didn't get to this time. If a friend is agonizing over where to hold a company dinner, I can now confidently recommend this place. For anyone near Mangpo Station wanting a proper meat meal, this is a spot I'd recommend.
