While wandering around Seongsu, I stopped by a dessert spot so pretty from the entrance and with such an intriguing name that it just radiated a special kind of atmosphere. This is 'Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store,' a standalone shop you can only find in Seongsu — a truly pretty Seongsu café.

I'd heard it was a crispy, addictive dessert, and once I heard that I just couldn't walk past haha. Went straight there after lunch!

How to get to Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store

If you're coming straight from Seongsu Station, take Exit 4 and head down — you'll find it near Betong. The address is 11 Yeonmujang 7-ga-gil, 1F Unit 101, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

There are lots of Seongsu pop-ups nearby, so it's great to fit a visit in when you're pop-up hopping. Seongsu is the hotspot for famous pop-ups>< It's also great as a Seoul Forest snack, so I recommend packing some to go on a Seoul Forest picnic💕

'Bocado' apparently means 'a bite' in Spanish. It really lived up to the description of not just being a dessert to fill your stomach, but a space offering a 'moment of immersion' that makes your day special and lingers in memory — a lovely, charming little space.

When you're wandering around Seongsu, you end up taking a lot of photos, and for those moments there were outlets to charge up. A Seongsu café where anyone visiting the area, including foreign tourists, can comfortably rest and enjoy dessert(❁´◡`❁)

When you eat dessert with your hands, you end up wanting to wash them afterward — and they even had such a pretty hand-washing station ready for that. Such great attention to detail, a Seongsu café dessert shop overflowing with atmosphere💕

Ordering at Bocado Butter: americano 3,500 won

At Bocado Butter Seongsu Main Store, you order right at the entrance. Along with the bocados, they also had a variety of drinks ready.

I ordered this café's signature dessert, bocado. What I got was the Bocado Box set (10 bocados, choice of 2 creams). The drink prices are really nice too! Iced Americano is ₩3,500 👍

The signature drink is apparently the coconut Einspänner!

Four dipping creams at Bocado Butter, and which one is most popular

There are four dipping creams to go with the bocado. Coconut, butter caramel, coffee, and cacao are all on offer, and the most popular ones are said to be the butter caramel dipping cream and the coconut dipping cream.

I ended up taking mine to go! haha Next time I want to come sit and take it easy, enjoying Bocado Butter with the signature drink right there at the café. The place was just too pretty.

Opening the 10-bocado box with two creams, 12,000 won

The Bocado Box is 10 bocados with a choice of two creams for ₩12,000. I picked coconut dipping cream and butter caramel dipping cream and packed them together.

Can you feel the crispiness just from the photo? It's not just crisp — the inside stays chewy too, which makes it seriously addictive.

At first I ate it plain, without dipping anything, just to feel that crisp-chewy texture. It was mild with a sweetness that spread gently, and it was delicious>< You know how there are snacks you just keep reaching for again and again? Bocado Butter was exactly that haha.

Coconut dipping cream vs butter caramel dipping cream

I tried it dipped in the coconut cream and also in the butter caramel cream, and both were super appealing. The coconut cream had a strong, really charming coconut flavor🥰 I personally preferred the butter caramel, where you get more of that sweet caramel note💕

Dipping it in the cream really brought the flavor to life. I ended up dunking it in cream generously every time — so good. It made me want to try the other cream flavors next time!
