Dongnae sushi restaurant's 31,900-won sashimi platter: Moshi Moshi
In short
Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is a sushi platter restaurant on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store by Myeongnyun Station in Dongnae, Busan. On a weekday lunch with no wait, the 31,900-won sashimi platter was ordered with the 'better' upgrade, which brought 8 pieces of sushi, assorted salmon, tuna and abalone sashimi, udon, tempura and two salads. Compared with the Busan National University branch, the Dongnae branch does the sashimi platter better, and the 'better' option is the one to pick.

I was craving sushi so I went back to Moshi Moshi's Dongnae branch after visiting the Busan National University location before. It's a Myeongnyun Station sushi spot inside the Lotte Department Store, perfect for a meal while you're out shopping. Let's get into the review~
Where is Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Dongnae Branch, and where do you park?
Moshi Moshi Sushi, Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch is on the 8th floor of Lotte Department Store Dongnae Branch, 1393 Jungang-daero, Dongnae-gu, Busan. It's open 10:30–20:30 and closed on department store holidays. For parking, just use the department store's parking lot.

The restaurant is on the 8th floor of the Dongnae Lotte Department Store. Ride the escalator up and you'll see the restaurant right away. Parking is convenient since you can just park in the department store basement.

There are plenty of tables, including some in the inner space. I visited on a weekday lunch and loved that there was no wait. Compared to the Busan National University branch, this one has a more modern vibe, great for eating with family.

Moshi Moshi Dongnae menu and prices
The menu at Moshi Moshi Dongnae Lotte Department Store branch includes the sushi platter at ₩21,900, sashimi platter at ₩31,900, soba sushi platter at ₩18,500, and udon sushi platter at ₩18,500. You can check the menu board before entering, and it's nice that it shows photos of each dish. You can enjoy sushi affordably with a variety of set compositions. The sushi platter is the best-selling menu, coming with udon and tempura too, and the price is really reasonable.

Most items come as platter sets, and many menus include udon, chashu, or ramen, so the composition feels substantial. There are set menus too, but since the quality of the raw fish mattered most to me, I ordered the sushi platter.

For the sashimi platter, you can choose between 'good' and 'better' — I figured why not go with the tastier option.

What comes with the 31,900-won sashimi platter's 'better' option?
The Moshi Moshi sashimi platter (better) comes with 8 pieces of sushi, assorted sashimi, udon, tempura, cabbage salad, and soft tofu salad. It's arranged neatly as a full spread, and the composition is really great. It's so hearty that you'll actually get full.

There are two salads — the cabbage salad was decent, but personally the soft tofu salad was really delicious, with a nutty, smooth sauce! The sushi itself is tasty, but the sides that come with it are also high quality, making this a very satisfying sashimi platter.

The 8 pieces of sushi: fish thickness and rice portion
The sushi platter comes with 8 pieces of sushi. Since I chose the 'better' option, the fish was even more special. No need to worry about the portion being small — with all the other items included, you'll definitely be full.

This was the best quality sushi I've had recently. The fish was thick and fresh. The rice portion wasn't too much, just right. It was worth upgrading to 'better.'

The eel sushi was seriously delicious... the nuttiness of the sauce and eel worked so well together. When it's thin it's disappointing, but this was nice and thick.

I love shrimp, and this one was lightly cooked just on top — eating it with the sauce made it wonderfully crisp-tender. I want to eat it again, ㅠㅠ

Assorted sashimi: salmon, tuna and abalone
The assorted sashimi in the Moshi Moshi sashimi platter has salmon, tuna, and abalone, so it's nice getting to try a bit of each. My mom loves sashimi, so it was worth choosing the sashimi platter instead of the sushi platter.

The salmon, tuna, and abalone were all fresh with no fishy smell. Personally I found the salmon delicious because it wasn't greasy.

Mushroom udon and three kinds of tempura
The udon that came with it wasn't a mini udon — the portion was quite generous, and it had tempura batter bits and mushroom toppings inside, making for a hearty bowl. It was my first time seeing mushrooms in udon.

The tempura included shrimp, eggplant, and sweet pumpkin, and personally the sweet pumpkin tempura was the best. Also, the batter itself was crispy — the best tempura I've had recently.
Dongnae branch vs the Busan National University branch
The fish quality was really good and delicious, and the platter composition was substantial, not just the sashimi. The soft tofu salad was nutty, the tempura batter was crispy, and by the time you finish the bowl of udon too, you'll be really full. I've also been to the Busan National University branch, and personally I think the Dongnae branch is better for the sashimi platter. If you order the sashimi platter, I recommend the 'better' option! Give this Myeongnyun Station sushi restaurant Moshi Moshi a try~
