Kid-friendly beef restaurant near Mangpo Station, Suwon: Olheun Gogi

Olheun Gogi Suwon Main Branch is a beef restaurant on Yeongtong-ro 218beon-gil near Mangpo Station in Suwon. On a weekday evening at 8pm, a family with a child ordered the Olheun Beef Table Set (166,000 won), which brought grade 9 Australian wagyu, hanwoo yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), grillable cheese and a brisket-and-blue-crab doenjang stew, all cooked at the table by staff. The beef was tender enough that Olheun Gogi made for an easy family dinner with a kid.

Jusangnakwon is a Korean cooking pub by the North Plaza (Buk Gwangjang) in Dongtan, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, decorated with a hanok (traditional Korean house) structure and a round moon. Two of us came on a Friday night and ordered iberico jowl grilled over an open flame and pork belly kimchi stew, and the stew was generous enough for three to share. With an underground lot in the main building plus spaces right out front, and no charge if you leave within an hour and a half, Jusangnakwon is an easy pick even when you drive.

Dojeok Suwon is a Korean BBQ restaurant near Nahyeseok-geori in Inge-dong, Suwon, where the staff grill the meat at your table.
