Sindaebakjip Gwangmyeong Sageori Branch (now signed as Sinjjangdak) is a Korean restaurant serving cast-iron-lid chicken stew in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi, 95m from Exit 6 of Gwangmyeong Sageori Station. The aged kimchi cast-iron chicken stew (dak-bokkeum-tang) costs 18,500 won and bubbles away in a pot lid set into the table, with ramyeon noodles, a fish cake skewer and fried rice added on; there was a wait at 8pm on a weekend evening. Worth a stop at Sindaebakjip if you like spicy chicken stew with tangy aged kimchi.

With 3 hours of free parking at Dream Tower 2, Himawari is an easy choice for tonkatsu in Okjeong-dong.

Open until 2am with parking fees covered, Sinbaegok Yang Kkochi Gyeongan Branch works just as well for a family dinner as for a late second round of drinks.
